Peppermint Patties (my way)
-1 cup confectioners sugar (I used Wholesome Sweetener's Organic Cane Sugar)
-4 ounces semi sweet chocolate
-3/4 tbs vegetable oil (supposed to be butter)
-1 tbs heavy cream
-1 tsp peppermint extract
-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Stick in the freezer on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper for 10 minutes.
Take the patties out of the freezer and dip them in the chocolate, set them back on the wax paper and put in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Here are some of my favorite things I recently picked up!
I got this pillow for our couch. I have an obsession with birds these past couple years (which you'll soon find out for yourselves). But I love how this pillow seems eccentric without being flashy. Also, something about an owl seems wise and a bit comforting... call me crazy! Or maybe it's just a cool pillow!
This is currently my nightstand. The lampshade I picked up quite awhile ago from Anthropology (my favorite store)! The water jug I scored at Home Sense a couple weeks ago along with the hydrangea. I'd eventually like to get a small table to put at the front door and display the water jug there with flowers in it, but for now it sits on my nightstand and holds the remote controls.
This vase I picked up today and would like to replace the jug on my nightstand with. For now it's sitting on my kitchen table.
I spotted this bird today at Home Sense and HAD to have it! Again, bird obsession, and I love the color green! When I get that table at the front door I'd also like to display this bird there.
I like your decorations!
ReplyDeleteWere the patties easy to make?
Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe patties were actually really easy to make. I'll be making them for Christmas for sure! And next time I won't put too much peppermint in (I forgot that I cut the recipe in half and put in double what I needed, still good but they had a kick)!
